The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association is the only national organisation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland dedicated to the support of people with MND and those who care for them.
The International Alliance of ALS/MND Associations was founded in November 1992 to provide a forum for support and the exchange of information between the worldwide associations.
Motor neuron disease comprises a group of severe disorders of the nervous system characterized by progressive degeneration of motor neurons (neurons are the basic nerve cells that combine to form nerves).
MND is a fatal
illness with no cure and the Association is dedicated to help improve the
lives of people affected by the illness through a variety of supportive services
