The chief executive of the Badminton Association of England has admitted “we don’t do a lot for disabled players”. Steve Baddeley, a former European badminton champion himself, told the English Federation of Disability Sport that his Association was “only scratching the surface” where badminton for the disabled was concerned.

The Disability Sport Wales National Development Programme is a joint initiative between the Sports Council for Wales, the Federation of Disability Sport Wales and the 22 local authorities across Wales.

Elaine Spray Badminton Development Officer Nottinghamshire joined forces with Leicestershire to organise an 'Open Day' event for wheelchair badminton. It was a huge success with wheelchair users and able bodied people of all ages having a great time.
