RDA is a federation of Member Groups, which are dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities, through the provision of opportunities for riding and/or carriage driving.
The Federation of Riding for the Disabled International A.I.S.B.L. was founded in 1980 to form worldwide links between countries and centers offering therapeutic riding and driving, and to assist in the development of programs in new areas of the world.
Great Britain has been the leader in Paralympic Sport since it first held the World Championships for Disabled Riders at Hartpury College in 1994. Its dominance in winning gold medals demonstrates the commitment and passion the country has for disabled sport and equestrianism.
